Culture & Identity

Racism isn’t always visible and obvious.  It doesn’t always come through
physical or verbal abuse or open contempt for those of a certain ethnic
or cultural background.  While these are definitely forms of racism,
other forms of racism, such as systemic racism, are widespread but
harder to spot.

Climate Action & Environment

Most people in the UK are aware of the urgent need to tackle climate change and other environmental challenges.  Whilst they want to be part of the solution, many recognise that individual behaviours, such as recycling or ditching the car for short journeys, alone are insufficient.  We need systemic, society-wide change, in the form of fair climate policies and strong leadership, that puts people at the centre of climate action.

Sex, Reproduction & Relationships 

The sexual health and behaviour of young people is a critical area in adolescent public health. The World Health Organization (WHO) recognises that sexual health ”is not just the absence of disease, dysfunction or infirmity” but also a “positive and respectful approach to sexuality and sexual relationships, as well as the possibility of having safe sexual experiences, free of coercion, discrimination and violence.”
